Sun Tzu, the Chinese military leader and philosopher, lived approximately 2500 years ago. Over the millennia, he has almost become a mythical figure. The amount of historical data is limited, the story of his life is a combination of stories and accounts from ancient historians. “Sun Tzu” is actually a title (Master Sun) and not his birth name. Some people have suggested that “Sun Tzu” wasn’t the only author involved in the creation of the 13 essay that comprise The Art of War and that it is instead a collection of works and ideas.
