Overview
The Killer Angels is a historical novel by Michael Shaara that was first published in 1974
. It is a fictional account of the Battle of Gettysburg, which took place during the American Civil War from July 1 to July 3, 1863. The novel is told from the perspectives of several different historical figures, including Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet, and Union Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain.
