I Am Malala is a gripping memoir from Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai first published in 2013. With the subtitle The Story of a the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban, it describes Yousafzai’s early life in Pakistan as an advocate for the female education. The book and a children’s edition of the book have sold over two million copies, although it has been banned in some places.
