Introduction to the Philosophy of History was written by German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
. It was published in 1837, and is based on lectures given by Hegel in the decade before his death in 1831. As the title suggests, Introduction to the Philosophy of History comprises Hegel’s introduction to a series of lectures on the philosophy of history.
