The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Swedish author Stieg Larsson is an international bestseller that was published posthumously in 2005 and first published in English in 2008. The book’s Swedish title, Män som hatar kvinnor, translates directly to “Men Who Hate Women.” The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a gripping thriller that follows investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist and hacker Lisbeth Salander as they delve into the mysterious disappearance of a wealthy industrialist’s niece. Unraveling family secrets and corporate corruption, the duo uncovers a dark web of intrigue. The novel is the first entry in the Millenium series. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was adapted into a Swedish film in 2009 and an American film in 2011.
