Overview

The Red Tent is a historical fiction novel by American author Anita Diamant that was published in 1997. It tells the story of Dinah, a minor character in the Book of Genesis, and imagines her life and experiences as a woman in biblical times. The novel explores themes of female friendship and empowerment, as well as the role of women in society and religion. The Red Tent was adapted into a two-part miniseries in 2014.
