Overview

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third book in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, follows Harry Potter’s third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The atmosphere is tense as Sirius Black, a dangerous prisoner, is believed to be after him. The plot unfolds with revelations about Harry’s family and the mysterious connection between him, his parents, and his new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin. The book was published in 1999, and a film adaptation was released in 2004.
